Designed to protect and extend the life of the RO membrane from sediment and chlorine, the PRF-RO carbon pre-filter is made from a unique filter media, known as Fibredyne, which attaches powdered activated carbon onto a cellulosefree synthetic fiber matrix. The result is a single 10 micron nominal cartridge that combines the benefits of both a sediment filter and a carbon block in one. This technology offers up to two times the chlorine taste & odour reduction and dirt holding capacity of traditional blocks, and will not release fines into the effluent stream due to a unique post-filtration layer that is fused to the carbon/fibre media blend.
